Food on a boat is a process. Actually, anything on a boat is a process. Coffee is no exception, especially when the boat is heeling over, it's dark out, your crew mates are sleeping, and water is boiling away in the ship's galley.
The kettle is secure, but I only had a few seconds to snap this photo of the french press before it went sliding… Fortunately, no coffee spilled!
